We were cycling in New Zealand on a rather grey day, so we couldn’t really see the eclipse. Lucky we stopped by the side of the road and a local builder did the same and we could borrow his welding shield to have a look through the clouds.

Wild dogs

We saw our fair share of “wild dogs” and even heard them fighting in the night. They were roaming the street living on what ever they found. Puppies left to fend for them self at the side of the roads. Drivers didn’t even try to avoid hitting them when ran out onto the streets, saw plenty of evidence of dog and vehicular “interference”. People threw things at them, kicked them away and hit them with brooms or what ever they had at hand.

Not something we were used to see.

Old forest

Continuing on the spooky theme after a few ghost town photographs. This forest got so scared and petrified, I wonder what kind of monster did it, that they turned into stone around 180 million years ago. You can see the other tree stumps in the background and if you’re careful you can see the rings too.

This is taken in Curio Bay New Zealand where we also spotted this wonderful fella.

You will not marry during the term of your contract
You are not to keep company with men
You must be home between the hours of 8pm and 6am unless attending school functions
You may not under any circumstance dye your hair
Your dress may not be any shorter than two inches above the ankle
You may not dress in bright colors
