Six years ago we set out for our first big tour, three months in New Zealand. Our second morning riding towards the Torlesse Range and later Arthur’s pass. Great views of Castle Hill Peak with a fresh dusting of snow. Our tent had ice on it when we woke up, so a very “fresh” start to the day, though Porter’s Pass soon warmed us up.
Second day of spring we went out for a little walk in nearly a foot of snow in places, with drift up to 6 feet.
Walking dogs in the snow is well fun, this little nutter loved it when we threw snow at it.
Another from a snow day in Paris back in 2003. Bridge over the canal Saint Martin.
I was going through my old photos and found this on. It was taken back in ’03 when I was living in Paris. Like everyone else I was out there taking photos of Pairs under its 3″ cover of snow. Which of course melted while I was out there snapping away.
It just works so much better when it was converted into B&W.
