Night time on the canal in Skiptonia. Not a bad snap taken with my phone camera, a couple of taps on the screen and this came out 🙂
We had a little trip to the Adventure Island in Southend on Sea, last day of season. Only problem most of the seats are way to small for this hero, being 41 and then some and 15 stones shouldn’t be a barrier for fun. I vote for more free rides and bigger seats.
At a festival in France I found this lady playing with her fire poi. I think she was meditating while doing it. As her face was very still with the same expression. Only rocking forward and back while staring at a one point all the time.
I wonder if this was her zen moment.
I have a few friends who either are full time DJ’s or spun the LP to pay their way through uni. I love a good turn table and the sound of vinyl. Though over the years I have gone .ogg (music format like mp3) since I have moved so many times and have lost my LP’s, decks etc.
We went camping just south of London, where we could have a bonfire, which I haven’t had for years. Which is my other Zen moments as I can poke the fire with a stick for hours.
The heat, colour and smell send me into trance. As long as there is wood to burn I can disappear into the flames.
Love it when the city wakes up at night, the lights, people and sounds. I spend a fair bit of time taking night-time photos, nothing special just point and shoot.
Like this photo I took while running across the road to get to the car my mate was picking me up in. While waiting on the middle reservation for the bus to pass. I just took my camera out of the bag and snapped this quick snap.
The result just says London by night to me.
