I know it’s been a while, life had other plans, but today this photo had to be shared. I snapped it on my camera phone and Google Photos decided that it needed some styling. And honestly I like the result, hope you do too 🙂
Last minute wild camping got me up and ready for a spot of hiking at 5:45am – Thanks, Tilley for waking me at F-O-U-R AM!.
This was the view from Pen-y-ghent down over Ribble valley and if you look carefully you can see Pendle among the clouds (over to the left).
We had a smooth journey across the Tasman Sea into early morning Melbourne. We have heard that it could be – well let’s just say – interesting 🙂
Early morning sun in Kalaloch Forest Camp ground.
Just a few miles down the road from where the Twilight series was filmed, you nearly expected to spot werewolves running amongst the trees. The only thing we saw was people dressed up as characters out of the films, with t-shirts saying “we love – insert favourite person from the films name here” and best of all the local motel had a sign outside saying “Dr. Cullen did not stay here”.
It’s the time of the year where the spiders comes out, caught this one in the sun the other morning.
While hunting around for pictures I found this one from the Carretera Austral in Chile. A stunning bit of the world but hard to cycle. This was taking early one morning before a long days riding, it is well worth it being this remote.
Caterpillar is the name of our new tent, since it does look like it. Being 5.5 metres long, four poles and green. And also because of what we found early one morning crawling over it 🙂
We were away for a few days in our new tent, Hilleberg Kaitum 3GT. And what a tent it is, we now have room to move around without kneeing each other or touching the walls. This photo was taken while we were doing a spot of wild camping, where we had a great and beautiful morning.
Yes I know this is not the best view in the world. But with wild camping you get to pick the view you want every day. This one was taken on our second morning in New Zealand last year, and what great way to wake up to. There was even ice on our tent that morning, Across New Zealand (Christchurch – Hokitika)
